The regulation circuitry keeps the amperage at 450mA with 10440 so the light is not noticeably brighter on 10440 than on NiMH. Still a single twist gives me L0D CE/NiMH high brightness while the L0D CE takes 5 twists: on medium - off - on low - off - on high. That is why I am using the Ultrafire as my goto EDC with the L0D CE as backup.
Ultrafire WF-602C SSC U Bin AAA/10440 review.
I think Ernsanada got a defective light so read the whole thread, not just the 1st post.

Wait till you put one of them batteries in a L0D CE.
Anyone kill their L0D-CE with 10440's yet?.
Some posts indicate either Fenix or Ultrafire has added overdrive protection and those light/battery combos would only run for 45 secs at a time on high.
One of 4 L0D CEs I bought flickered badly when I tried running it on 10440, the other 3 workrd fine.

Take a look at mchlwise's Fenix L0D Rebel vs. Cree outdoor shootout!
The 602C SSC with both types of batteries is the same as the L0D CE on NiMH. Then scroll down to the bottom of the post to see how much brighter the L0D CE on 10440 is.

Also read the rest of the thread on dangers of running the L0D CE on 10440 and why the latest models of L0D CE and 10440 makes it worse. The L0D RB80 actually turns blue within seconds.

Before I got the Ultrafire I was running my L0D CE on 10440 but only in medium mode which is the same as the 602C.
