Is this a viable combination? I have 4pcs of 900mah protected cells, and was wondering if this works well. If not, I'll stick with primaries. I do not want to fry my new light. Thanks in advance

They work in my L1(Cree). It is a snug fit but I was able to get them out by few taps. Had no problems so far with the batteries.

I don't understand the fascination with 3.0V Li-ions. They are the worst type of rechargeable batteries, very inefficient with very little energy. Primaries and regular 3.6v li-ions are much better.
