Well, I'm out of the silly bright light bug, after only one thank goodness.

But I've decided that the 1X18650 light is about the right size and I've got the charger already so that's where I'm going to stay for a while.

The ones I know about:
Ultrafire C2
LumaPower LumaHunter M1-R
LumaPower LumaHunter MRV
Derelight CL1H
Streamlight Scorpion
Tiablo A8

I'm probably going to end up with all of those, already have the Scorpion. I'm thinking the Tiablo next.

Any other suggestions?

Oh, things I'm looking for or not looking for.

I like > 100 Lumens, I like bright lights :candle:

I don't much care for a bazillion light levels. Off/Low/High or Off/Low/Med/High would work just fine. I'll probably ignore other levels.

I'd much prefer staying with LEDs. Just personal preference.

Buy 'em all. Isn't that the motto of CPF?

Pila makes the G2 which uses a 18650 and it is built like a bank vault.

Don't forget the http://tncproducts.com lights. Lego system of the highest quality. I have the 18650 tube and carry it with both 20mm and 27mm heads. Extreme quality at not extreme prices.

Yikes. I'm not sure I want to delve quite that far into it yet. I'm still on the whole lights stage. I do appreciate the link, though. I'll keep that one in the bookmarks list.

Daniel,

To TNC's credit, you can contact Eric and order a complete light. He can post photos for you. Later if you wish to change to another battery, example RCR123, it's just a tube away.

It's a way to try something new without buying a whole new light later.
