You can still get one, but you have to lego it yourself. Buy a L2D-RB100 and a L1D-RB80. Swap the heads, and sell the resulting L2D-RB80 on the FS forum.

I also find the Rebel 100 more attractive and hope Fenix makes an L1T V2.0 with a rebel 100. They should offer an L1D rebel 100 rather than making one play legos!

I used my Rebel 100 with an L1D body...the Rebel picked up a somewhat green tint. I like my Rebel 100 more than my CE using a CR123 but not an AA. Maybe Fenix decided the Rebel isn't as good on lower voltages?

Jetbeam has a single AA rebel 100 light. They say it's the same ~90 lumens that all other single AA lights are these days. Not enough oomph. However, the Jetbeam is designed to work with a 14500 li-ion 3.6v battery if you want a bright AA with short runtime and a hot case.

EDIT: I'm wrong. Apparently they've switched the LED from a Rebel to a Cree Q4 on that one. The basic premise is probably still sound though. Just not enough oomph in a 1xAA battery.

Improved Type:JET-I MK.II R
LED: CREE 7090 XR-E (Q4 bin)

I wonder if they're going to keep the R in the name ? ;)
