No idea, but 6800+ lux on a Li-ion is impressive for a small light, and Kai usually makes fairly accurate measurements.

There are brighter ones. But the one you mention does have alkaline/nimh/lithium battery support so I guess it has it's merits.
If you want a small "BRIGHT" cr123a light. Try this. VERY bright for single CR123A.

(But don't use protected batteries with it as they are a bit too long for it)
It's not a thrower but has a whopping 10000+ lux output and I believe it.
