Mod Pelican M3 with 'new' Multicore Rebels [480+ lumens]

I currently have a Pelican M3 with a Cree P4 led that was swapped by CPF member, Pumaman.

Now that I see these new.....

Can anyone advise as to whether or not the new LED will work in the Pelican M3 and if anyone would like to try out this mod on my light?

Please advise!

The new LEDs need 9.5v Vf and the LEDs are too far apart to focus correctly. There are also no optics that i know of that will focus the multicore Rebels. Wait for the Cree R4s next year before upgrading, much simpler.
