Strange Modified HDS EDC Behaviour...

I have a B42 which I've modified with a seoul and altered the brightness settings using the 250 click thumb-knackering trick.

Up until now it's worked fine, but when I hold the switch to access the max setting, it's started to flash the SOS sequence, before dropping down to the lowest setting I have it set at.

I always use rechargeable cr123 batteries and make sure they are fully charged when I replace one - this happens no matter how much charge is in the battery.

I've had it for about a year and would hate to think it's on the way out.

Any advice/explanation would be most welcome.

Have you tried to do a full reset?

Since you've done the 250 thing let me recommend a soft reset as first avenue. Second would be a complete clean and re-assemble making sure both springs are correctly placed.

I tried a reset - I did the mod about 3 months ago and this is the first time its started acting up.
