I have the EYJ YJ-18WF and was wondering if they make a replacement tailcap that is single-mode, or just one that will work with that?

In most of those two-stage switches is a resistor for the low-level that you can by-pass. I have done that with some other lights.

I wish there was a CPFer in town who could teach me this stuff. I'm not electronically inclined.

If you bypass the resistor, you would get a On-On-Off clickie. You would need a new clicke to replace the one already in the tailcap. Which model is it?

That would be nice. Mine goes ON>ON>OFF. You literally have to click it 2X to turn it off.

yes if were to bypass the resistor you would get ON>ON>OFF it is the nature of the switch being use. Replacing the switch module with simple On>off is a better option.
