Hi,

I am new here. I have been reading on the forums, but now I have a question. I have a Dorcy 3 watt headlamp that uses a luxeon III. It is powered by 3 aaa batteries. This light appears to have no regulation, and eats batteries really fast. I would like to hook up a larger battery pack with four AA batteries. I also would like to use a higher power led like a P4. I want to use some type of regulation, but I don't know what I should be using. I saw these regulated boards: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3256 but I wasn't sure if this is what I need or not. If it is how do I hook it up? I see that there are output wires to the led coming off the board, but where do the input wires go? I am definitely a newbie at this sort of thing, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

good luck!
