Q5 in NOVATAC?

just wounder if some one has swap the die to a Q5 yet in NOVATAQC 120P?.
and how to do in and what i most think on.
do any one know what the fv is on the novatac 120p is.
and what i can expect of the Q5.

The 120P uses a SSC U bin LED(not Cree). When the SSC V bin comes out I'm sure people will be modding them then.

will the Q5 not fit with the reflector?

The Vf might be too high in the Q4-R2's for the Novatec since it's a single cell light. Meaning, you could put a Q5 in and it may be the same brightness as a P4, but you may get increased run times.

The Novatac would have to have a circuit designed to boost the voltage to power the higher Vf Cree's and I don't know if it currently can do that.

only i if it don't decrees the out put in lumen for me.
