I have been emailing back and forth with a Jennifer Wong at Pila, and she has been kind enough to supply me with a complete price list of their products.....and they do ship to the U.S.! These are end user prices, not distributor, but they are still substantially less than the recently increased prices at Wargamers Shop. Enjoy, I certainly intend to order quite a bit /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Thanks again for Ms. Wong at Pila for supplying this.

Yup, that's what she told me.
I gave her an order. They are not yet set up with Paypal but are working on it.
Going to get a GL3R &GL2R one with white led and other with red. Some spare lamps, Clickie tail caps and Surefire 168S battery.
Already got the GL4/M90 at the older $130.00 price /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/buttrock.gif . It really kicks butt on traffic stops and gets the bad guys nervous on foot persuits.

Jennifer e mailed me that they rate the lamps at 30 hours (under ideal conditions)

I would make sure to clarify the shipping terms prior to ordering. You want them to quote you a price and drop it in the mail or hand it to Fedex. If these goods are truley being sold FOB Hong Kong it could be a hassle. For international trade FOB is a Inco term. It means Free on Board. It only applies to Ocean shipments. The seller in this case Pila pay for cartage to the Port of Hong Kong and places the shipment on the vessal. The buyer then pays all shipping and duty to the destination. In the US FOB has a diferant conotations for domestic shipping it either mean FOB origin which means on the sellers loading dock come and get it. Or FOB destination which is delived to you. If they are working under Incoterms (which most international companies do) you want them to ship to you DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). This way if the documents are wrong or duties are miscalculated they are responsible. They figure up what it should cost tell you a amount and then ship it to you. Any screw ups are on them. If they won't do this get DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) then all you will owe is the import duty.
Check it out at http://www.export911.com/e911/export/comTerm.htm#xDDP. Not my company but a good site.

FOB also apply to Air shipment as well. Technically, when BL (Bill of Lading) or AWB (Air Way Bill) is presented, FOB is done. Any loss during the shipment will be covered by insurance if insurance was purchased. The reason why FOB is more popularly used during quotation instead of CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) is because of different rate of insurance and freight on different destinations (countries, cities). It's no way for a exporter to check insurance and freight for every enquiry from all over the world. Even if you're Walmart or Sears, you'll not ask for any price quote other than FOB since Walmart might request many drop shipment to different cities on one single order. This becomes common practice for most international trade.

By the way, FOB is always mean origin and C&F or CIF mean destination.

wargamer shipped me using Speedpost. I had the lights in 2 days.

Even though it was shipped DDU there was no duty collected. I think China/Hong Kong has a $400.00 limit on personal items

Re: Inco terms

Patrick,

Due to the international trade and banking document is volved, all definitions of these terms are defined by international banking organisation that I forgot its full name and not by individual country, not to mention individual University's internal policy. The only document I have to follow strictly is LC (Letter of Credit) 290. For more information, you could contact your banker. I have replied your mail and let's discuss this off-line:)

Re: Inco terms

Just an update: I'm ordering a set of cells and charger from Pila, and Jennifer Wong quoted:

> It will take 10 - 12 days
> to reach you.
> - EMS (Speed post) : US$ 23.--. You will received the goods
