I recently bought this holster for the fivemega 700L I have and must admit although not cheap it is very well put together and well made.
For those that might be interested I bought it off a French Ebay shop

I have included some pics.
My RCatR Aspherical 1C M*g also fits in it very well.

Looks good, thanks for that, but I thin my 6d might pull my trousers down if I put that on :D

I was thinking of a full 6D holster with a sling, or maybee just a sling with thik Orings for the 6D

Cant have you dropping your strides in public can we!!
I have seen others but they were the type with just a ring that the light slips through and not that good by all accounts and they scratch the M*g apparently, (can't have these 2 getting all marked).

Not sure about that (jogging), but I have read that the ring type mark the M*g's body.
This wont be a problem with this type.:naughty:
I did see a leather type somewhere but it was basically just a loop that the M*g slipped into with a belt attachment.

Hey, that's a pretty neat looking holster.

anybody know of any other alternatives for shortened mags?

The Maxpedition UFBS works fine with a full-size one, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with a shortened one. It has a flap on top, so your light won't fall out, that's for sure. The UFBS flap is removable, so if you like faster access, you can leave the top open. In fact, you can then put the flap on the bottom of the holster so there's no way your light can fall through it. (I think the strap would be too short to fo this with a full size 2D Mag, but it might work with a shortened one.)
