Well, maybe I found the perfect medium for beamshots? Here in dear old Blighty it was very foggy tonight, so I thought it would be interesting to get some beamshots! :twothumbs

The fog allows the light to bounce back so it can be seen!

My photography is not brilliant as I don't know what I'm doing, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Anyway, what do you think?

Nice Lightsaber you have there in the last photo. :grin2: It would be interesting to see a decent incandescent light in comparison.

Don't cross the beams:eek:;)

Fog is a great medium to see beam patterns, and throwy lights are just fun in a fog.

I found that they all had about the same throw in the fog for some reason - about 40~50 feet.

Nice Lightsaber shot! I took a few lights out tonight and the Tiablo was the most fun....sadly we rarely get fog in new Mexico... but on many nights you can spotlight people going through dark fields:duck:...not as much fun as fog though.

Nice pics. I haven't had a foggy night around my area yet to go play. I can't wait to see what my DBS will look like in fog.

You learn so much more about a light with beamshots like these. You cans ee how big around the spot looks on the wall, but fog/underwater really shows you what the beam looks like. Keep up the good work!
