Sold/Expired Anybody Modded Sams Club Element?

Maybe adding the latest Cree or Seoul emitter? Or even one of the Luxeon Rebel 80 or 100 devices?
Or can someone quote me a price to mod mine? Id be mostly interested to increase brightness without losing too much runtime.
This IMHO will be a neat project and using a common host. :help:

Yep, I modded mine with a Seoul, its the most simple and easy mod ever. Can you handle a soldering iron? The whole light comes apart , just desolder the old Lux and solder in the Seoul star. I also strenghtened the solder joints in the battery holder, they seem to get loose.

which element did you start with the 1.25 watt or 3 watt ? I have two Q5 wg bin crees laying around. I was going to put them in my KL4's but I'm rethinking that.
