A friend asked me about an LED upgrade for his 3D mag and the Terralux TLE-6EXB came to mind. Seems like a good combination of brightness vs. runtime. My only experience with a mag LED upgrade is using an everled, I believe a side emitter, and it projected the exact same mag beam with all the rings and artifacts as the incandescent. Does the Terralux smooth any of this out? I realize some throw will be compromised which is ok, especially if center hotspot and spill are smoother.

Or should I recommend another direct drop in replacement.

i had an everled in a mag , the seouls will still have the donut but the beam is nowhere as bad as everled, i remember the everled being ringy but a very nice pure white tint just not overly bright, as for other direct drop in get a HARD to get Malkoff but its pricey ...the 6exb though should fit the bill
