Hello all,

I have a non too impressive cateye EL520 light that i would like to improve.

Is there a simple / cost effective way to modify it that doesn't involve me being a electrical wizard?

Photos would be real help.

I look forward to hearing from you.

cheers,

Rob

:welcome:

If you can get a correctly sized heatsink, you could use this or this driver board and a Cree XR-E/Seoul P4 LED to make a upgrade. The stock reflector should be fine for this purpose.

All you'll probably need to know is how to solder, and how to assemble/dissemble you light completely. You'll also need thermal paste/epoxy for this mod.

No pictures since I don't have the light mentioned.
