Hi guys, as some of you may know I'm traveling again… :grin2: I'm currently in Kathmandu. We bought 2 brand new Royal Enfield Bullet Electra 5S motorcycles here. We started running in the bikes a few days ago but are still waiting for the custom made luggage racks to be completed. As soon as the bikes got their first maintenance (after 500km) and we received the blue book (official owner documents from the Nepali government) we'll leave for a trip to the western part of Nepal and then head to Sikkim a former Himalayan kingdom but now part of India. Since some of my friends here are interested in our adventures and asked for some pictures I thought it was a good idea to post them here. I'll also try to update this post now and then when time and access to the internet allows me to do so. I think it would be interesting if someone could help making a route map of our journey. I hope you'll enjoy the pictures. :)

We are still in Kathmandu. The bikes got their first maintenance, the luggage racks are finished and mounted and we finally got the "Blue Book" (official Nepali owner documents) on Friday. We can go now everywhere in Nepal but still need some papers from the Indian embassy to enter India with the bikes. I hope you'll enjoy the new pictures.

PS: I also added some info about the flashlights and Maxpedition stuff that I'm using on this trip.

We finally have all the paperwork done and will leave Kathmandu today. As we can't leave the motorbikes in India (it would be illegal) we'll have to return to Nepal. If everything goes as planned we'll be back between December 22nd and December 29th.

Thank you! A ride report on cpf!

Tell us, one day when you got time, which pouches [maxpedition, whatever] you're using there and how it worked.

Good luck on the trip. Maybe I should have my bicycles blessed so I stop wrecking them and breaking things (me for one).

I always lusted after those Enfields Bullet 350 bikes but all I got to drive were Lambretta, Vespa, and Yezdi/Jawa (and Luna)

Viren,

Did you drive Bullet? Aren't those made in India?

I used to ride on my uncles Royal Enfield Bullet 350 - Orignal and the Diesel 500 ... but both were too heavy for me.... the ones Icarus is riding are not sure if Indian Made.....

Back home, I still have Pulsar 180 poor man's bullet ... whenever I visit IN I love to ride on it... It's fast(0-60 in 3.5 Sec.. topping at 130), Light and Consumes less Gas. these days they have Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi (Fuel injected) on road for about US$3000 or so.
