MTE SSC 1xAA GITD Installation

well I do have a question about it.
I know members have installed GITD tailcaps in the MTE 1xAA flashlight but how did they do it?

In 2 of mine the hole where the rubber tailcap goes is smaller than 14mm. And the original bootie is of a different design shaped like an hour glass, where the narrow section (more like a slit) fits in the tailcap hole.

Were mine different for others' flashlights?

I just used the eraser end of a pencil and pushed from inside the tailcap. The GITD will pop through and work fine. You should know that the GITD, mine are from DX, sits much higher and precludes tail standing.

dont forget to add GITD rubber o ring as well on the front between the glass and the crown but you have dismantle everthing including the glued part to do it. Nice looking at the end though and glows everytime you switch off the light
