Will the Fire~Fly CR2 Body from the Shoppe work on the Fire~Fly 3?

Does anyone know the answer to this question. I sent an inquiry to the Shoppe but they suggested I ask here.

Any information would be appreciated.

If I'm recalling accurately, it will work. You may have to add foil or a washer to the bottom of the CR2 tube to get the battery closer to the positive contact in the head.

Yep, it'll work.....and you may need to add a shim like T_I_N said. If you haven't noticed yet, you can see a bit of the silicone o-ring with the the R123's, but with a primary 123, no o-ring is visible.....meaning batterys can vary in lenght (and width), CR2's included.

how well does the anodizing match?
the FF3 has a blue/black color to the ano

None of the non-FF III bodies match the bezel that well. The FF-III bezel has a blueish tint to it, whereas the FF-II bodies are more HA-NAT in color.
