I thought this essay was worth a read. While I may not agree with every single word there is a lot of truth to what the author says. Long term we definitely need a new way of doing things which is neither socialism (another inarguable set of massive failures) nor capitalism. I personally find distributism intriguing but I imagine there are many other possible schemes which haven't been tried yet.
Any thoughts on what will replace capitalism (yes, it is unsustainable no matter how you look at it)?
Additional comments:
I'm not that thrilled about the concept of participatory economics mentioned in the essay. This has many of the characteristics of socialism in it even if it's not socialism. Like I said, there has to be a better way which is neither socialism nor capitalism, or at least avoids the worst aspects of each while preserving the best.
