Your battery format preference?

What's your lights battery format preference? Hopefully light manufacturers see this and consider it while manufacture their products.

I realized that some prefer and carry more than one format for different purposes, but amongst them, please just choose ONLY ONE format you most prefer and most prioritized (there's always some cases that we cannot simply take it all or we have to prioritize one thing than another).

If you choose other, please specify the format and if possible, the reasons as well.

18650 for me. Good size, not too big, not too small, good capacity, many options of lights and rechargeable.

Where was the #18650 Lithium Ion ???

Highest power density of commonly used rechargables.

It's accepted as reliable enough for satellite usage and holds it's charge for a year or so.

Poll is not specfic enough. Differnt tools different situations.

Rechargeable: 18650

Play: rechargeable LiFeP04 CR123A compatible
Serious Play: 18650
Serious: Lithium AA
Travel: AA
Keychain: AAA
MP3 Player: AAA
Emergency Lighting: AA / D
Cell Phone: Lithium-Ion "slim" custom pack
Regular Coreless Phone: AA

Unqualified preference: Standard-Battery

AA is a format, but Alkaline, NiMh, Lithium are totally different.

18650s (or even 17670s) for the more powerful lights.

Eneloop for the more easily carried ones.

RCR123s are not that good because they never give you sufficient runtimes.

I am trying to become 100% rechargeable so I did not consider primaries.

Why AA and AAA are together? I like the AA form factor, but I don't like at all the AAA lights.

AAA lights are only interesting in 1xAAA (If you want a small EDC) and 2xAAA (pen-type light, very uncommon). Most of the AAA lights use 3xAAA (just to avoid boost circuitery), and I do not like at all that kind of lights.

But I also have two CR123 flashlights, just because of the smaller form factor, Fenix P1 and P3D RB100.
