Lube (hopefully from Radio Shack) for my Dx extreme lights?

I have a C3 already and a WF-606A coming from DX and wondered exactly what I should use for a lube on these lights? The reason I am asking is that I don't want to use just anything because I read in another thread to stay away from silicon based lubes on these lights. Radio Shack is my first choice of purchase as it is very convenient to me but have access to hardware stores and typical big box stores.

Yes, there's a lube for the threads you can get at Radio Shack. see link for details.

As for the 'avoid silicone' theory... I think that's hooey. But to each his own.

Did a little research. Found that there may be something to the "avoid silicone lube" crowd. If the o-rings are made of silicone, then the compatability with silicone based lubes may ok with static seals, but not ok with dynamic seals.

I haven't seen a silicone o-ring lube at radio-shack. Just the other stuff, for threads. Sorry.

Always used silicone grease (dielectrical grease to be exact) and no problem.
