Bezels (what do they do)

The ones you link to are just eye candy. Some bezels theoretically protect the glass if the light is dropped, and others supposedly can be used as a weapon (dubious, IMO).

Mostly, it is just an excuse to add some bling. Not that there is anything wrong with that. :)

All lights have some sort of bezel, but quality lights put some thought into it. As mentioned, the ones you linked are eye candy. When light fall, they generally like to fall head first, and a good stainless steel bezel (like on Inova lights) will protect the light from damage. Stainless steel is much more ding and dent resistant than anodized aluminum.
