Will using "momentary mode" damage the ARC AAA-P

sometimes I only twist the ARC slightly off from the ON position so I can hold the flashlight in my hand and push on the lanyard end with my thumb or push down on the head so I would have a modified momentary "button" to turn on the light. Will I cause any damage in the long run by doing this.
