Disappointing beam quality from my 17/P (Real world beamshot)

What can I say about this one? Very bright hotspot, but it's way out of focus and the spill is large and unusably dim. Worst of all is that huge blue artifact off to the right... Very distracting in use. What could be causing that?

I think maybe your light has a leak and it is venting stuff as it heats up.

You're having a bad gas leak. Check the hydrogen absorbing pellet & replace if needed.
