I milled 3 equidistant slots in the lanyard collar.

easiest way is to point a UV LED at it then take photograph as usual. the UV makes it brighter

Nice mod Nein166! How usable is the throw with that reflector? Can you comment on what you did to mod the Mag head to accept the tritium?

If you wake up in the dark it lights up half the ceiling, picking it up I can see everything in front of me except the orange cat on the parque floor, poor CRI

Try 12 years constant runtime. Tritium is a Radioactive Isotope of Hydrogen H3.
The gas is sealed in a glass vial that is coated with phosphor. The radioative decay of the tritium releases energy that is absorbed by the phosphor. The phosphor then converts the energy into visible light.
Tritium has a Halflife ~12 years. So they appear to glow for 12 years continously with no added energy (light, heat) but after the first 12 years it will be half as bright as when new and so on as the years go by. My 18mm sphere started with 10 curies of tritium and the normal 5mm vial I think has under 1 Curie. Its brighter but also a volume issue.
