Throw is more to do with the reflector. If you want a LED thrower, the best right now should be the Dereelight DBS with one of the new digital modules that is driving a Q5 WC at 1.2A.

To get 240Lumen out the front of the WF-600, I'm guessing you'll have to get a Cree R2 and overdrive it significantly to 2 amp(twice the recommended max). Or get a aspheric lens that would work with the light.

The new Q5 WF-600 would be brighter than the Q2 I would think.

I too are interested in the WF-600 Q5 and waiting for reviews. I can't believe no one have it or reviews about it.
