My SF suddenly quit working. When I push the tail cap button it won't budge. I took the tail cap off and the spring fell out. Tried and tried to get the tail cap back in place with needle nose pliers but won't stay put. Does that mean I need a new tail cap? It's the metal body version so I don't want to just toss it in the trash.
SF 6P problem -- any ideas?

Those spring contacts are a right pain to put back in but it can be achieved with hard work and perseverance. I removed a spring whilst messing around and certainly regretted it after the effort it took me to put it back!
Perhaps securing the TailCap in a vice or similar arrangement and applying efforts with two pairs of needle-nosed pliers is worth exploring?
Giving SureFire a call and explaining what happened is another way to go.
