Hi,
Just ordered a Fenix T1, it will arrive next week.

Has anyone got a clue if the Fenix T1 will survive 2 RCR123A cells (3.7V), or will it be the same as with my Inova T3 (just the normal CR123A)?
I am not really looking forward to immediately frying my new light.

Cheers,
Stormy

If you check the ongoing discussion thread on the light, it answers many questions. And yes, it will handle 3.7v RCR123's

Wade F,

Please confirm that the Rcr123's work well when you get your T1. I am planing on buying AW's protected rcr123 for the T1.

Thanks,

Al

I have two AW RCR123A's waiting for mine when it gets here today. I was talking to Trevor at FenixStore on the phone yesterday, and he is running 2 AW's in his.

It's dimensions as well as electrics that matter, don't forget.

I just got my T1 about a half hour ago. I have two AW protected 123a's in it, and it works fantastic. They are not even a tight fit. Man is this thing bright. Guilt free lumens.....YEEEEEE HAAAAA!!! Can't wait till night time now.

The AW R123's 3.7v work fine in the T1. Output is virtually identical with primaries.

AW's Protected RCR123's fit, one battery was slightly snug. I also tried AW's Protected 17670 and it fits snug. I had to remove the battery tube from the bezel and push out the battery. I also had to remove the AW label off the 17670 battery.

These are shots of how AW's Protected RCR123's and AW's Protected 17670 fit the T1's battery tube.

AW's batteries may vary in size but this is how they fit my T1.

Fits AW's Protected RCR123's snug.

Hmmm. That's funny. My new AW protected RCR123A's rattle in my T1. They slide in and out very freely. I wonder if it's a difference in the batteries, or manufacturing variances between my T1 and yours. I have the new AW's that are black with a silver label.

Just like you said, it's probably manufacturing variances. I have the older blue AW's Protected RCR123's.
