This is killing me! Outdoor beamshots PLEASE!!

Sorry, didn't get to pics.
But -- think of a Surefire L4D with a slightly narrower spill beam;
Then, take a 4D Mag with an led bulb focused to a narrow spot going straight down the center.
But, it's better.
I did compare it in the dark across 200-800 feet across roads and meadows against a bunch of different other units, and the anecdotal evidence would be very positive. On my walk tonight the low setting was very much like my son's 6P with it's LED head. Walking back up from the meadow flashing the T1 on high, my son (he's 8) said "that makes mine look awfully wimpy".
