Just got my P3D-Q5 from Brightguy recently and I'm impressed. The turbo mode easily wins over all of my other LED flashlights hands down.

So I'm wondering if I can safely use RCR123s in it. The two-cell design is intended to run on 6 volts, but two fully charged RCR cells will wind up feeding it 8 volts. Anyone know if the driver board can handle this?

Thanks for the information, Marduke. It's good to know that I won't destroy it if I go with RCRs. Even with the szhorter runtime as shown in Chevrofreak's excellent graphs, it'll keep me from adding more used-up primaries to the landfill.
