Can someone please tell me if you can run the new SF 6PL, with the CREE LED, at 9 volts? I have an A19 adapter laying around, and would like to have a 9P size LED light.

Thanks,
Dave

The Surefire 6PL/G2L both use the Surefire P60L module which uses a Seoul (SSC) P4 LED , not a CREE.

Yes, the P60L module will run on 9volts just fine. It wont give you much, if any extra output, but the runtime will be increased.

Thanks, I thought so. Extended time is all I was looking for. I just saw that G3; I wonder if a P9L is in the works?

I made a 6PDL with detonator 1 cell extender a GITD switch cover and the P60L module. Not super bright but LONG runtime on 3 primaries! No brightness increase over 2 cells. Great lego light! When Gene gets a steady stock of new modules on hand I may have to get one for this light so I can have a long runtime with the P60L and a super bright M60 to switch between as needed. Go for the 9 volts and enjoy!
