Recommend a good first Modded light ?

I've gotten most of the regular production lights that I want...

So now I'm thinking about getting a modded light. It's not for any particular purpose, so I'm mainly looking for some "wow/cool" factor. What are a few of the more popular/classic mod lights out there?

I <font color="red">highly</font> recommend the dat2zip Madmax module for your MiniM^g 2AA. It has been the most used flashlight and I EDC it. Get it here:

I highly recommend the MadMax. I use it to walk the dogs, and as an EDC light. I use NiMH rechargables with it. The MadMax is adjustable. On max brightness, it lasts about 2 hours on a set of 1800ma NiMH batteries. I've turned mine down slightly and get 3 hours. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif This is a light to have camping with Alkaline AAs as it will run for over 40 hours in "moon" mode after it falls out of regulation. The brightness in moon mode is plenty bright enough to read by or see 10 feet or so in front at night /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If you have a MiniMag around, slip in an Opalec NewBeam
module. When you want more light, take another MM and add
dat2zip's BadBoy 400 (or 500). Add a Kroll clickie switch
to complete the custom look and feel. Then, hang around
this forum and pounce on the next offering from Mr. Bulk,
lambda, or the skunk team. In a few months you'll have
some treasures unobtainable elsewhere!
