As I told you we decided to go for Screw-In modules instead of Drop-In as the thermal management is much better due to the bigger contact area. In our case is a M23 x 1,5 thread which is fixed by using a special compound containing graphite to improve thermal and electrical conductivity. Once dried it is not rigid, as it has to be flexible enought to stand the dilatations.

All the star board surface is in contact with the module, and for that we are using also a specail compound and two SS screws.

As you can see you will have no problem to upgrade your light in teh future.

A nice way to solve the problem of heat management of dropins.
I like it, it will make the U-04 a lifetime-flashlight :thumbsup:

Making the lights future-proof in this way will be an extremely effective selling point. Excellent!
