This is going to serve nicely as my EDC pocket light.
I'm an auto repair shop Service Manager, and use a light undercar many times a day when showing my customers needed repairs.
The light seems to have just the right amount of throw and spill. I have a few comparison shots with the bulkier incandescent Streamlight Scorpion that I've been using. Certainly not in the same league, but interesting.

The first pic puts the compact size of the P1D is perspective:

Notice the nice spill from the little Fenix:

I dig this little powerhouse :twothumbs

Big thanks to the Fenix Store for fast shipping and a fair price!

I love that candle setting of the P1D.

What is the lumen rating, and how long can it run in candle mode?

I suppose candle is more a feature than an actual mode. Here's some specs:
Features
• Utilizes a Cree 7090 XR-E LED with a life of 50,000 hours
• 5 Output Levels: 96 lumens (2.8hrs) -> 180 lumens (1hrs) -> 16 lumens (21hrs) -> Strobe -> SOS
• Digitally Regulated for Constant Brightness
• Uses one CR123A battery (not included)
• 7.1cm (L) x 2.1cm (D) ( or 2.8 in (L) x 0.8 in (D) )

I love this light too...yes you can put a split ring on it...
i actually use this on "low" alot, because it conserves battery life, and yet is plenty bright to get around at night, and the Hi is seriously powerful, theres is a very clear difference between the normal, and hi mode, although normal is already almost too bright to use in doors..

My only gripe is that this light has a ring, not very visible in the pictures, but its just around the hotspot, so the transition between hotspot and spill has a ring interruption..but that shouldnt stop anyone getting this...

I love that picture with it next to a cotton bud!
