So I have a Rexlight REX2.0 (first run from KD) that I bought a long time ago.. You guys remember the time right? We were all waiting and waiting and waiting.. Well that's neither here nor there.

As the topic states, I'm going to sacrifice my REX2.0 in the name of science. It's just collecting dust so I've decided to see what kind of abuse it will take. I'm not doing any measuring or anything. I'm just going to abuse it..Hitting it with a hammer, throwing it up in the air and landing on concrete.. That kind of stuff.

I'll post pictures and happenings as they occur.

Re: Going to sacrifice my REX2.0

No prob.. Here's what I've done in the last 5 minutes.

1. Dropped it on concrete on it's side from 5 feet off the ground - works
2. Dropped it on concrete on it's bezel from 5 feet off the ground - works
3. Hurled it at a brick wall about 8 feet away - works

More impromptu testing coming up!

I wish I could shoot it. I don't have a place to do it at. My local range won't allow it.

A probably better use for old flashlights in this
ksbman thread

It's not old. It is pristine in mint condition.

5. REX2.0 getting rolled over with a Honda. - works

One this is for sure, the light WILL take daily EDC abuse. It's a tough light for what I subjected it to.

I'm sad to say that the abuse session is now over. It did not survive the 0.6 mile 20 MPH drag behind my car. Something is loose inside the head as I can hear it when I shake it. The light will not come on. It was fun while it lasted.

Short of dragging your light, it should last you a long time. :twothumbs

Wow. What an awesome thread. I'm waiting for the upgrade modules to come in. I have 4 Rex 2.0's, but they're not gonna get the kind of punishment you dished out.....no way.

But for your thread, I give you: :twothumbs
