i've sold one of my two 6d rop and soon will have to ship out a 2d rop.
i will have no more fivemega reflectors sooo...
either i need to build my red 6d maglites into rop again with my kiadomain aluminum reflector (homemade stipple job of course) or pop in the new terralux tle300.

a couple of questions for all you out there in cpf land.
which do you think is giving more lumens per watt, the overdriven rop low bulb or three of the new k2s driven at 1000ma apiece?

which do you think would be brighter?
what is our expected runtimes for both these lights?

any other opinions as to which way to go, i'm kind of a by the numbers kind of guy but any input is appreciated.

The first thing that comes to mind is throw. Throw is largely about reflector size and I don't see how 3 small reflectors can throw as well as 1 large one. If so, then the question is, do you want a wall of light close by or projection into the distance?

This of course, ignores bulb life, run time, and color differences.

total lumens and runtime is what i'm trying to compare mostly.
how will the tle300 in a 6d stack up to rop low.

I have both (albeit in a 2D w/6AA), and the output is similar (about 300 lumens).
Judging by tailcap current (ROP LO 1.8A, TLE 300 1.6A) the runtimes would also be similar - which is unexpected
