SF Kroma Upgrade?

I see some dealers are giving 50 CR123 batteries with some SF lights, such as the Kroma. I wonder when they are going to upgrade it? Is this a sign that something new is coming??? It is a great light, but the white LED is due for a face-lift...

Hopefully we will know if/when they are planning on upgrading it after shot show 2008.

No on both accounts. Some dealers throw in free batteries as a bonus since they can't sell below SF-fixed prices. Personally, I think the LED in the K2 is fine as it is, but I jumped off the "brighter is better LED of the week" bandwagon a while back.

The SF website page for the Kroma says:
"Please allow 4 weeks for delivery"
Did they run out and this is how long it takes for another run to be made?
