Suppose for a moment that we have a magical headlamp that puts off perfect close-range flood. What sort of throw would you prefer in conjunction with the flood?

Provided that it already has a "perfect flood", there's no need for the throw beam to have any flood, right? Can be an optic type with medium spot.

I love the UK4AA-ASLED. One of its best features is a dim but huge spill. Especially in complete darkness, the huge spill helps you find what you want to illuminate.

Lights with huge throw and no spill (HTns) remind me of playing a video game. I usually turn on another light to find what I want to illuminate with the HTns.
