Question..can you run alkaline batteries in a MAG85 in an emergency,or does it only work with lithium batteries?

Runs with any barrery you like providing its the right voltage (Just need a battery holder for the right size mag)
Can use enloops, NIMH etc

So regular alkaline AAs would work in a Mag85?
Or do you need to use rechargeable AAs?

Alkaline batteries will not work well, they can't provide the 2.5-3.5 Amp's the WA11185 bulb will need. Use Ni-Mh, Ni-cad, or Li-Ion cells. You can find all of the parts here in the Custom B/S/T are, FiveMega makes the battery adapter, or keep your eyes open here, there is about one a week for sale....

If you buy a "Turnkey" anything that means all you have to do is turn it on. It will have the battery pack, WA1185 bulb, correct reflector, glass lens, charger and batteries to put in that battery pack.

All you do is just turn/push the button "hince" turnkey and it works.
