I am considering buying a Z59 tailcap for my surefire Z2, but I don't know if you can use the Roger's Surefire technique with this tailcap installed.

Has anyone tried it? Thanks for any feedback you can give.

The Z59 will work fine. It won't change the grip from the standard Z41.

However, I think there are two other things worth considering. If your light is to be used in a tactical situation, it is quite possible to unintentionally turn the light constant on with the Z59. On small click will do it. It is not possible to turn the light to constant on with the Z41 by accident. It takes a very definite intentional twist.

Also to some degree the Z41 is less prone to failure than the Z59. It is simpler mechanically with fewer parts.

Both reasons why SF supplies the Z41 on the Z2.

Thanks Flash

I was hoping that when using the Roger's Surefire technique with the clicky tailcap it would be easy to activate momentary operation but difficult to actually click the switch to constraint on.

I wanted some feedback from someone who's tried it before I dropped $37 on a tailcap.
