Surefire L1 questions.

I am thinking of getting a Surefire L1 Cree from a local store... and I want to make sure I'm getting the right one.

What did they have before the Cree model? How can you tell you have the newer model?

Luxeon. Pretty much everyone is selling just Crees, and they should say what it is they're selling. The only online dealer I know selling both is Brightguy. And he says what they are.

Yup, if you see the "New Higher Output and More Runtime" label on the packing, then you know you are getting the newer CREE model.

Also the newer L1s have a different look to the front end when looking straight on then the older models.

Apart from the box, I think the other distinction is that the new L1 is actually a little shorter in height. EV_007's post on the L1 basically says it all about the rest of the features that are different.
