My personal opinion is that new new V3 one is to be avoided. It is brighter, but not enough that it justifies the poor runtime, even for the $20 or less pricetag. I've seen some that are nice and white, some that are purpleish and some that were greenish. It is referred to as the Luxeon Lottery here on CPF.
