since when have M3 tailcaps been in black? the name of the 6P's twisty LOTC is Z41. I'm pretty sure about that, not so sure about the other ones…

Your M4 will use a Z41 Type III Natural. It should have come with one.

I have not seen a black M3. Is it Type II or Type III? If Type II the Z41 Type II Black will work and match. If It is Type III, you would need the cap from a U2 to match.

Any Z41 will work on either light if color match is not critical.

Nope. Sorry, it is a clicky. I was trying to think of black HA tailcaps and the U2 popped into mind. You would think there is a black HA twisty, but I can't think of one.

SureFire's standard LockOut TailCap, as used by the 6P (etc), and the M3, M4 (etc) is the Z41.
Z41-BK for standard (type II) Black (for the 6P)
Z41-HA for the M3 (etc) (type III) Hard Anodised.

The U2's Clickie TailCap is Black HA and does not have a Z number although it is the same TailCap as the Z58 (HA) and Z59 (Type II Black).
