i got a lighthound newsletter and saw an awesome sale on terralux upgrade for magcharger. it seems good enough to go out and get a magcharger again!

$19.99, that's half what i thought they were.
how is the battery capacity or pretty much overall lumens/runtime ratio of the magcharger compared to something like a 3d mag with terralux upgrade. is it worth buying when i already have rechargeable d's for the mag? i assume this thing is a cree/seoul upgrade.

I have one that I put in a magcharger that I have had for many years. When the bulb burned out I decided to try the terralux. It is ok, but it wasn't as bright as I thought it would be. There is not much side spill so the beam is totally different from a stock magcharger.

Since I rarely use the magcharger anymore I can live with it. If I used it alot I think I would really dislike it.

if u take a look a run time of 6 hours is claimed.

in case u need a super long runtime light, then the terralux could be the trick.

actually i realized it's a luxeon III.
isnt' that 50 lumens per watt whereas the new cree/seoul are 100per watt?
not my cup of tea.
probably why it's on clearance.
