I have a sku.6090 installed in my 6P, and I'm quite happy about it. Some modification (cutting) of the outer spring was necessary, though.

1447 has soft edged spot with a slightly dark area around it and good spill
4068 bright extremely soft edged spot, really blob of light smoothly blending into bright spill.

I don't use outer spring, instead a bit of tinfoil to make a secure ground connection.

I see them as pretty equal in brightness and right now I consider 4068 the King.

What is the build quality on the sku.4068?

Does the sku.4068 produce a lot of heat when left on for a long time?

Both 1447 and 4068 use a pretty hefty metal reflector with a metal pill with the LED on it that screws into the reflector from the bottom.

4068 seems to be pretty well built. If you REALLY put pressure, side pressure anyhow the spring might come loose. I might not put it on a gun.

But I'm not very hard on my lights and am not the least worried about it.

It's in my black G2 with the bezel from my 6PL (Aluminum w/glass lens)

I'll turn it on and start my stopwatch.

The 1447 will fit in the G2 when you remove the outer spring. Although, it did still work with the spring, but I had to reverse it. The 6090 is on it's way and should be here next week. From what I heard, it will fit the G2 just fine.

It took a considerable amount of sanding to get the 1447 to fit in my 9P though.

Please remember the metal body of the 6P allowes substantial heat dissipation. Coupled that things dont always fit both the G2 and 6P. o heat, and fit has to be the main concern on this thread surely, with the G2 not being exactly and the heat effects on the LED etc.

At 30 minutes 137
At 45 minutes 141

I haven't touched it since 20 minutes.

EDIT: OUCH! 140 something is WARM.

Okay. Not sure about running it in a G2 with a Nitrolon bezel. If so I'd say 10 minutes maybe 15 if you hold it the whole time.

Maybe 20 max or 25 with an Aluminum Bezel.

Maybe no limit if you hold a P6 for the whole run....

Two main reasons I don't have that one. First is money.

Second is I think it would be very difficult to end up with the level you WANT on. Probably take two hands. If you can get around that (maybe clickie?) then that might be the one you want.

I sum up Seoul vs. Cree like this. Seoul is just a LOT of light in the 4068 module. Cree is a lot of spot/spill light in the 1447.

Good hunting!
