Howdy Folks,

I mentioned earlier that I would have some new things to show in early 2008, and now is a good a time as any. :) I have made a new batch of Titanium Nautilus flashlights, these using some R2 Flux Bin XR-Es I was able to get ahold of recently.

Most of you are already familiar with the Nautilus, but here are two pictures of my own, and more can be found, along with beamshots and owner opinions, in this thread: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/174076&page=4

A brief summary of the features of the Nautilus:

Ultra Clear Lens for 99% Light Transmittance
Deep Parabolic Reflector for Long Distance Illumination
R2 Flux Bin CREE XR-E
Titanium Construction with Brass Innards
O-Ring Seals at All Junctions – Water Resistant
Gold Plated Circuit Contacts
20.5mm in Diameter by 67mm Short
2 Ounces / 57 Grams Weight
2:45 Runtime on High Mode, 75 Hour Runtime on Low Mode - Fully Regulated

The price for this batch is the same as before, $380, plus $12 shipping anywhere in the US via Priority Mail, and $20 shipping for international locations via International Priority Mail. (All Units from this run are sold)

I'll be assembling all the lights within the next couple of days and will ship them all out before week's end.

Take care folks, and Happy New Years. :)

What are the real world differences between the R2 Flux and the Cree used in the earlier run of these lights?

Blitzlicht: WG Tint.

charlesn: You're looking at a difference of 7 lumens by the specs of the LEDs from the minimum of a Q5 at 107 Lumens to 114 for an R2. It's not a staggering jump but is the best part that could be had for the latest run of the Nautilus. :)

E: This is the same driver that was in the last run, correct? So no ultra-super low low?

bmstrong: There's no reason for me to change the driver; it's the same as used in all the other Nautilii.

PSM & Others: I'm glad to see that your lights are getting some use. :)

Take care folks.
