Presents for CPF! :p

Well, I know there are alot of surefire enthusiasts out there! And since there really arent any "official" Surefire wallpapers, i decided to conjur some up.

*EDITED* However, out of respect to surefire LLC, they have asked me not to make the wallpapers public. Although this is not legally required, i will out of respect take them down.

-->For your information; surefire has given the "OK" to create your own surefire wallpapers. just keep them to yourself. make them respectable, appropriate, clean and worthy of the surefire name.

no,

U.S. Trademark and Fair Trade laws allow logos to be used in certain circumstances. such as to be used for educational, viewing, or research purposes.

in this case, the logo is being used for non profit, non commercial reasons. the only problem is if i started to make money or profit off of it, and claim it was MY work. or if i used their logo in a negative way, or linked it to a porn site or something equally inappropriate.

its the same as my HK avatar. its not defacing the logo or being used to make money. not that HK cares, they would rather have their company promoted than try to sue someone for advertising their company. but its legal in any regard

Al, you have more respect on the forum than you give yourself credit for :grin2:

PKs....well, what else can we relate to surefire flashlights? :grin2:
I only know two definitions for major weenie ...
>A person, especially a man, who is regarded as being weak and ineffectual.
>a smooth-textured sausage of minced beef or pork usually smoked; often served on a bread roll

Kind of sad. I am a photographer myself and I have not really shot any of my Surefires for wallpaper's sake. Now that all my Surefires are rather well used I guess it is no point to do so. Shame on me. :duck:

no prob guys. i knew you would love em

if you want an 'official' wide screen version, with just one logo in the center, or if you want a specific size resolution or whatever, i can do that just as easily.

heck, i mean if you guys really like this stuff, i can start doing the other companies too, like fenix, inova, mag, etc.
the only limitation is imagination

djblank87, you'd be suprised. it's not as hard as it is tedeous and time consuming.

95 percent of the work was done in Illustrator not PS. when your simply resizing the logo, illustrator will do. PS for the final touches, which should always be subtle.

+a few extras..

what the heck, here are some for fenix too

Crenshaw

PS: if you need it in a wider resolution, just open it in paint, input the attributes you want, center the imgage, and fill the rest with black...

EDIT: links removed as per LK5GB7's latest post...
