Very interesting! The stealthlight takes P60 lamp modules and you can just drop in that DX thing? How is the heat management?

Good question on the heat management.
I planned to use it underwater since my Stealthlite can go down up to 500 feet :)
But as you know this type of material is the same as the SF G2 body so the heat will not dissipate that well unless you cool it off under the tap water once the temp is rising.

dannyduke,
you might want to try it because my Stealthlite xenon drop ins looks exactly like your Responder.
I kind of hesitate. The 2 lights r made by different companies, they might have exact look but might not have exact measurement (and my Responder has twisty head to adjust the beam). 10 bucks is not much but if I can't make it work then I don't know what to do with it. Wish I know the wide n deep of the drop-in in mm. Thanks anyway

Wow, nice tip!

I got a Pelican Stealthlite 2400, anyone know the difference between that and the 4AA? Looks almost like exactly the same light(the 2400 also takes 4AAs).

WOW cool mod. I was looking at that light the other day at Frys.... and put it back, because its Xenon. Hope the heat-thing works out for the best.

I think nanotech17's is a 2400 (unless it is the stealthlite recoil which I believe is a 2410). Man I would LOVE this (if no heat issues)! I have a 2400 on my backup firehelmet and would like to upgrade. Anybody else tried yet? Stock vs mod beamshots?

Also nanotech17: 500ft? In a river? You lost me.

Years later - but I thought I needed to post this.

The light module is still available from the quoted source (January 2015) but it is not a drop in as has been suggested. Far from it - it is too small and simply does not work without some fairly major surgery. The on/off is really delicate and precarious when done - not worth the trouble at all. Just throw the stupid light out rather than trying to resurrect it with an LED module - my view. As well, the polarity is reversed from the diagram on the light with the LED module - no big deal - but if there is no polarity protection then it is. It seemed to be fine after I put it in the wrong way the first time.

Just FYI for some poor hapless slob like me who discovers one of these crappy flashlights deep in a drawer and decides to try to make something out of it.

Welcome to CPF. Fairly old thread here. Let's see if after 3 3/4 years you get a response from qdlz. If not I will close this thread.
