hi guys i need your help, i am looking for a single 18650 torch which is easy to mod like not glue...or not too hard glued or open emitters/driver but i havent found/ordered a right one yet.

the driver should give at least 1200 ma and the emitter should be a ssc or cree and the light should be more a thrower than a flooder

thanks :twothumbs

I d say this one here: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.9634

construced like the Elly (used for everything, even modded with lasers here in the laser dept.)
* wide head (fits most any usual reflector / optic)
* direct access to the emitter (change it in the future, add additional heatsinking plate, ...)
* circuit under the star, can be pressed out and swapped also
... at least when its constructed like its smaller "brothers". Have one ordered for some weeks now but thats the only part reamining, so no sure on these points

sure its not super small, has no knurling, several diameters, has that ugly wide end cap which makes pocketing even harder - but its cheap and offers good space inside for modding
(and I dont care too much on the asthetics of lights I lend around) :)

Build your own.
The bodies are available on the custom BST.
Head components are available at the SHOPPE and you can choose the drive level emitter reflector. Tail switch are available all over the place.
This way you havew total control and are not forced to use a lower quality set of components.
Just an idea.
